Shan
an acoustic/electric duo from Wellington, quirky and clever and catchy. A wonderful mix of original singer/songwriting with energetic guitar work and mellow piano. SHAN provides vocal melodies that have the power to emulate all, soaring to the highs and braving the lows. With meaningful lyrics that blossom from real life experiences and changing landscapes of sound.
Steve the Hood
a poet and singer-songwriter from Wellington who returns from a two month stint in the USA where he played 32 open mic gigs and three feature shows.
His minimal fingerpicking style garners inspiration from Arvo Part, Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave.
His first album (under the name Stevie Starr) “We Hope in All Things New” was lauded by the media as ‘One of the brightest new things on the New Zealand music scene’ (New Zealand Herald)
'His inspired compositions are heartfelt, uplifting and really rather remarkable.’ New Zealand Herald.
'Music is an art and Starr paints a unique picture.’ Waikato Times.
Steve will perform songs from his forthcoming original album “Born and Bread”.
Rob Wheelan and the Heart Strings
