Ignacio's Take Off

The Undercurrent presents Ignacio's Take Off!

Iggy Nama Ruci is a young, beastly saxophonist and flautist residing in Tāmaki Makaurau. He draws much of his inspiration from time spent playing in the Himalayas and Cape Town. He brings a fresh, powerful presence and many interesting musical ideas through both composition and improvisation. Ignacio's take off will play Iggy's most recent compositions. Iggy projects, including the Iggy Nama Ruci Quartet, which plays regularly at numerous venues and has recently sold out performances. Ignacio's Take Off features a vibrant, energetic lineup of musicians that keeps the music musical. The band features local Wellington heavy hitters Theo Thompson on guitar, Ateo Buhne on drums, and Evie Patterson on bass.
