The band, who all grew up learning to play from each other, are now some of Aotearoa's most in demand musicians, with projects headlining venues across the country. Collaborations on acclaimed records pepper their developing artistic careers.

Pōneke's own bring something new every time, this time Miro's compositions will take on a new aspect- the instrumentation of the group changes, after the departure of Nico Buhne to Brazil, Sylvester Green on trumpet enters the troupe for the first time.
