The Undercurrent presents El Jagor!

Five friends with one shared goal to play some phat jams. Initially formed by necessity at school, now a fully fledged Jazz (adjacent) Quintet playing around Wellington since early last year. With studies getting in the way, the original El Jagor has not played together since their awe-inspiring Jazz Festival Ray Brown tribute gig featuring the incredible Jago 'Jagor' Watson on the bass.

Be sure to come to the Undercurrent July 5th to witness the return of the El Jagor as they play a variety of tunes from different walks of life, from fusion to afrobeats. The band features the previously mentioned Jago on Bass, on the keys is the amazing Logan Heppell, laying fresh beats on the drums is Ranu Wijesuriya. On the trumpet is the most elegant musician ever Sylvester Green and on the Saxophone is Cameron Boyle.
