About the event
Join us for Open Mic Night every second Thursday at the Undercurrent!
The event fosters a welcoming, intimate space that encourages original material. Let the beautiful Myrtle Microphone from yesteryear lift and carry your voice - our standalone amplification lends itself to acoustic performances, mixing instruments together in the space physically.
We have a house piano and upright bass available. Put your name on the board or just come to listen and support!
Arrive at 7pm and settle in with a hot drink and tasty snacks.

Due to the amazing surge in popularity with our fortnightly Open Mic Night, we're introducing a few guidelines for a smoother ride:
1 - One stage appearance per show: let's give everyone the chance to perform!Â
2 - We'll have one poetry slot and one variety slot per night (spoken word combined with music, for instance!), 10 minutes each. We have a few great new poetry events on the cards, so we're hoping to focus on musical performances during the Open Mic!
3 - The signup board will open at 6:45 PM sharp! No need to camp out earlier. Priority will go to folks who didn't get a chance to grace the mic last session. Let's spread the spotlight
